About this blog: how we write and check our articles
Who writes the TerumoEdge ASCPi Blog, where our facts come from, how we compare review options fairly, and how to report an error.
Who writes this blog
The TerumoEdge ASCPi Blog is written by the team that builds the TerumoEdge ASCPi Exam Simulator, a practice simulator for the ASCP Board of Certification Medical Laboratory Scientist exam, MLS(ASCPi). Because we make a product that some articles discuss, we say so on every page.
Where our facts come from
- The ASCP Board of Certification (ASCP BOC) content guideline for the exam format, the seven content areas, their percentage ranges and the basis of the regulatory questions.
- ASCP BOC eligibility, examination and policy pages for the eligibility routes, the transcript evaluation, scoring, results, retakes and credential maintenance.
- The ASCP BOC and Pearson VUE test center procedures for exam-day rules. That document is dated 2021, so we attribute its rules to it and tell you to confirm the current ones.
- The TerumoEdge bank itself for anything about the product.
Every article ends with a Sources section linking what it relied on. If a fact could not be checked against a source, it is not in the article. Where ASCP BOC publishes a range, we give the range, never a single figure.
How we compare review options
When we compare a simulator with a review center, a PDF reviewer, an app or a chatbot, we compare kinds of tools against stated criteria, not named companies. Where we say TerumoEdge does something, the sentence says what it is and how you can check it, usually in the free demo. Our practice mock is a fixed-length draw. It does not copy the adaptive algorithm that ASCP uses, and we say so.
What we never do
- Invent statistics, testimonials, quotes or reviewers.
- Quote pass rates, scores or prices that we cannot source. The pricing page is always current.
- Promise that any tool, plan or course will get you a pass.
- Put a year in a title. A date appears in the text only beside the fact it governs.
- Give legal, immigration or employment advice. Each country, state and employer sets its own requirements, so confirm with ASCP BOC and your employer.
Updates and corrections
We re-check articles when ASCP BOC revises its content guideline, eligibility requirements or exam policies. To report an error, email team@exam-simulation.com with the article's address and what you believe is wrong.
